Who We Are

Creating practical solutions for people and the environment

Sindhica Reforms Society works at the intersection of environmental protection, community development and humanitarian support.

Since 1993, SRS has worked with communities and partners on issues including water, sanitation and hygiene, environmental conservation, ecosystem restoration, renewable energy, livelihoods, health and humanitarian response.

Our work is focused on practical, community-based approaches that respond to local needs while protecting natural resources for the future.

Our History

From a local initiative to a wider development effort

Sindhica Reforms Society was established in 1993 with a focus on serving communities and responding to environmental and social challenges.

Over the years, SRS has expanded its work across environmental conservation, water and sanitation, livelihoods, health, renewable energy, disaster response and community empowerment.

This experience has allowed SRS to work with different communities and collaborate with donors, government agencies, civil society organizations and other development partners.

Today, the organization continues to build on this experience through community-based projects and sustainable solutions.

Our Founder

A commitment to environmental and community action

Muhammad Ameen Keryo is the founder of Sindhica Reforms Society and has been a driving force behind the organization's environmental and community-focused work since its establishment.

His work has focused strongly on environmental sustainability, community mobilization and practical approaches to water and wastewater management.

One of his notable contributions has been the introduction of the Constructed Wetland, also known as a Reed Bed system, as a nature-based approach to biological wastewater treatment in Pakistan.

Through his work and the growth of SRS, environmental solutions have been connected with broader community needs, including sanitation, public health, humanitarian support and sustainable development.

Detailed information about the organization's current leadership and Board of Directors is available on the dedicated Board page.

A Key Milestone

Pioneering Constructed Wetland solutions

SRS's work in nature-based wastewater treatment is an important part of its environmental history.

The organization developed Pakistan's first Constructed Wetland Module for biological wastewater treatment and recycling in Shaheed Benazirabad.

The approach demonstrates how environmental challenges can be addressed through practical, nature-based solutions.
